Our Money Matters team offer all believe housing customers an guidance service on all things money-related. Whether you need support to find the right deal, help applying for benefits,  or want some help to make your money go further, the right support guidance matters.

The records we keep are for the purposes of believe housing only. We will not disclose any information about your enquiry to anyone, and we will not pass on your information without your explicit permission.

Universal credit migration in County Durham

If you’re a single person or single parent that currently lives in County Durham and receives child tax credits and/or working tax credits you will need to claim Universal Credit from July 2023.

You will be contacted by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) to let you know more information on how to make your claim. If you don’t make a claim your credits will stop.
