A position has opened up for a new member to represent the East Durham area on our community grant panel.
The panel is made up of nine believe housing customers, with three representatives for each area of County Durham, including East Durham, Durham City and the dale and valley area.
The role of the panel to discuss and debate the approval of any community grant applications we receive.
The panel also provides invaluable local knowledge of their local area.
Meetings occur every month, with three members attending each session, and transport provided to and from the venue.
Sessions normally occur on the first Tuesday of the month, at the Lynn Jordison House in Belmont.
Members commit approximately one to two hours, three times a year, with meetings attended on rotation.
New panel members receive training sessions, whilst all members get the opportunity to visit previously approved projects once a year.
Applicants must be a believe housing tenant or customer.
If you would like to know more or are interested in becoming a panel member, email: firstname.lastname@example.org before the deadline on Friday 17 May.
