Durham tenants asked for their views on landlord services

14 July 2015 - Latest news

Tenants across County Durham are being asked to give their views on the services they receive from their landlord.

The 2015 Annual Survey of Tenants and Residents, or STAR, is being sent this month to 11,000 homes owned and managed by Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes and East Durham Homes, as part of believe housing.

Around half of tenants across the group will be asked how they rate things like the quality of their home, the standard of their estate, and how they choose to receive day-to-day housing services.

Copies of the survey have been sent to a random sample of customers, which can be either be completed and returned by freepost or online at www.opinionresearch.co.uk/STAR2015 by 5pm on Monday, 17 August.
By taking part, customers also have the chance of winning up to £200 of shopping vouchers in a free prize draw.

Brian Abbott, Performance Manager at Dale & Valley Homes, said: “The STAR survey is really important to all of us as a new group of landlords to gauge an overall picture of how our customers feel about our services.”

Rachel Edmunds, Head of Service Improvement at Durham City Homes, continued: “The outcome of the survey will highlight key changes that customers want to see in local neighbourhoods, but also help us to take the right steps in making the improvements across the county.”

“This is your chance to have your say. It will only take a few minutes to complete and you really will be making a difference – and you never know, you could win a prize!” said Joe Gash, Performance and Quality Manager at East Durham Homes.

Customers who have any queries about the survey, including requests for large print or other alternative formats, should contact Catherine Nock at Opinion Research Services Ltd (ORS) on 01792 535 335 or email catherine.nock@ors.org.uk

A similar survey will be conducted in 2016 for those tenants not contacted this year – for more information email performance@cdhg.co.uk
