They include:

  • total loss of electrical power and lighting
  • total loss of water
  • total loss of Heating
  • serious water leak
  • dangerous structure
  • blocked flue on an open fire
  • serious sewerage fault
  • insecure external windows and doors

Update: Wednesday, 10 February 2021 – emergency repairs only

Due to the substantial snowfall in parts of the region overnight believe housing is only carrying out emergency repairs on Wednesday, 10 February.

The snowfall has had a significant impact on many roads, with driving conditions treacherous in some locations. Safety of everyone is paramount, just as it has been throughout the coronavirus pandemic. The situation will be reviewed on an hourly basis, as conditions are expected to improve during the course of the day.

Repairs Team Leader at believe housing, Paul Hughes, said: “With the weather we’ve had overnight, travelling to repairs work will take much longer and give some difficulties. To make sure we can still attend the most urgent jobs we’ve reallocated resources to take into account the difficulties we’ll face today.

“I know some customers will be disappointed, but I’m sure most people will understand that we have to prioritise work in these circumstances. We’ll be contacting the customers who have been affected to rearrange their repair”
