The free course hosted by digital inclusion project ‘Time to get online’ will take place on Thursday, 27 October between 10am and 12pm at Wheatbottom Community Hub.

Debbie Howe, Digital Inclusion Project Co-ordinator, is encouraging people to come along and find out more about what the internet has to offer.

“We get together on the last Thursday of each month and pair attendees with a ‘Digital Champion’, who show people that getting online is not as daunting as it may appear.

“No matter what level of skills people have, I would urge them to come along to see the advantages of the online world, including keeping in touch with family and friends, looking for work and saving money.”

For more information on the monthly sessions call Amy Glendinning, Community Development Coordinator, on 0300 2000 194 or email a.glendinning@daleandvalleyhomes.co.uk

‘Time to get online’ offers a training programme though a believe housing, Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes, East Durham Homes and Teesdale Housing Association partnership, and aims to raise awareness of the benefits of digital technology.

More information about the session format and a range of self-help guides can be found on the Time to get online website.
