30 March 2017 - Latest news

A free event this Easter will help residents to discover potential training and employment opportunities.

believe housing is hosting a Family Learning Day on Tuesday, 11 April at Willington Open Door Methodist Church and Community Centre.

Residents are being invited to drop in any time between 10am and 2pm to take part in employment workshops, talk to training providers and meet with careers services.

Sean Robson, Community Training Co-ordinator at believe housing, said: “Our event is perfect for people who are looking for a career change or to re-enter the working world, but don’t know where to start.

“We’ll be running taster sessions to help with CV writing, job searches in a digital environment and promoting different learning opportunities.

“And for people with kids, we have plenty of fun Easter activities including crafts, egg treasure hunts and healthy cooking to keep them occupied.”
