Horden is the location for the latest in a series of open days for affordable housing that could see attendees pick up the keys to their new home in one day. 

believe housing is opening the doors to a property in Ash Crescent, Horden, on Wednesday, 17 October to highlight the variety of affordable homes available immediately.

A three-bedroom house will be open for viewing between noon and 5.30pm, attendees will also be able to find out about other available homes in the area

The event is intended to give home hunters the chance to discuss available properties face-to-face with officers from the group, and find out how they could potentially get the keys to a new property within hours.

believe housing Head of Housing Operations, Simon Bartlett said: “Our open days have helped families throughout the county pick up the keys to their new home virtually straight away. We’re hoping to repeat that success this time around.

“Horden is a great location, close to the coast and with good transport links to the surrounding areas. We’ll have housing officers on hand who know the area inside out and can help with any questions on affordable housing.”

Ash Crescent is situated near the heart of Horden and is within easy reach of Peterlee town centre, as well as having a range of local amenities and schools on the doorstep.
