believe housing’s digital inclusion programme ‘Time to get online’ has been working with Bearpark Primary and Coxhoe Primary Schools to make children more aware of their internet behaviours, help them recognise the warning signs of unlawful activities, and show them what to do if something doesn’t feel right.

Debbie Howe, Digital Inclusion Project Co-ordinator, said: “It’s a fact that online interaction features heavily in today’s younger generation’s day-to-day practices, especially when you consider social media.

“We want to ensure that everyone can make the most of the internet, but in a way that is safe to them and their peers.”

As well as believe housing, Time to get online is also supported by local landlords Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes and East Durham Homes.
