January’s edition of believe housing’s digital newsletter is now available online at

‘group news’ has all the latest developments from right across the county, including how one rural village has ended a 50 year wait for new affordable homes.

Group Communications Manager, Jill Ancrum, said: “We’re making great strides in our work to improve life for thousands of social housing tenants across County Durham. In this issue we’ve got news of our £138m home improvement programme and how we’re investing in communities, alongside more on our ambitious new build projects.

“And we’ve got details of how we’ve been rated as one of the top three housing associations in the UK following an independent survey of our customers.”

The January issue of ‘group news’ also features details of a new pilot scheme that could help some of those hit hardest by welfare reform, and information about support for tenants looking to get into work or change their career path.

The magazine is fully responsive so can be easily read on a PC, laptop, tablet and mobile phone.
