search for new values group members begins

20 November 2020 - Latest news

believe housing is on the lookout for new members to join the Values Group.

The group is predominantly made up of tenants, supported by key stakeholders, to represent the voice of the customer in our decision-making processes.

The group is looking for tenants who are passionate about ensuring that believe housing does the right thing for customers, who are good listeners, communicators and persuaders, and who are positive ambassadors for their community.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape services to our tenants.

With seven customer representatives, a councillor, and an independent member, it was designed to ensure that the services delivered by believe housing are in line with the views and values of customers.

The group meets regularly and their meetings are also attended by the Chief Executive and the Executive Director of Investment, Growth and Performance.

Members come together at least four times a year, either in person or online and are consulted on specific projects depending on business need. They have already transformed how believe housing handles compliments and complaints in their first major project, the Values Group is set to play a vital role in improving a host of other services.

Chair of the Values Group, Jack McGurk, said: “We’re here to provide a voice for believe housing tenants at the highest levels and we scrutinise the various services provided. We review and examine all of the reports that are put in front of us. Health and Safety for example, where we look at any accidents or risks and how things are progressing to make improvements. We also took a close look at the Survey of Tenants and Residents recently.”
