Still time to sign up to free communications course

Tenants are being reminded of their last chance to sign up to a free training programme.

‘Communications Jungle’ is being hosted by Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes and East Durham Homes on Wednesday, 9 December between 10am and 4pm, and will help attendees to communicate more effectively.

As part of the believe housing, the three local landlords are giving people the chance to improve their skills in writing, listening and also explore barriers to communication in today’s society.

Jean Steel, Involvement Team Leader at Durham City Homes, said: “The way we communicate has changed massively in the last 10 years as people now have a lot more choice in terms of how they choose to engage with one another.

“This informal session is a great way for attendees to build their confidence using a range of correspondence methods, all to ensure they get the outcome they desire.”

Lunch will be provided and help to attend courses, such as transport, is available.
