While we’re all staying safe at home, believe housing has a series of self-help videos to help customers carry out simple repair tasks.
All non-essential repair work has been suspended following the latest restrictions introduced to control the spread of coronavirus. But a comprehensive range of self-help videos are available showing customers how to complete simple jobs with a minimum of tools and materials.
The videos were created following the successful use of video calling during the first coronavirus lockdown in early 2020. The videos now cover 25 regularly reported small repairs that can be safely completed by customers.
Director of Property Repairs at believe housing, Rachel Cox, said: “These high-quality, easy to follow videos cover the kind of jobs that are easy to manage with a minimum of tools, experience or materials and have no great costs involved.
“Right now we have to minimise the times we’re coming into customer homes. That means that non-essential repairs have had to be suspended. If you’re still struggling after watching a video, please do give us a call, one of our engineers might be able to talk you through things over the phone.
“I want to reassure customers though, that if you genuinely do have a safety related essential home repair that needs to be completed by one of our staff, we will still be here throughout the coronavirus lockdown, please just get in touch. We have all of the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep everyone safe.”
All of the self-help videos covering dozens of simple tasks – like the one shown below – are now available on our repairs videos page.
