Woodhouse Close in Bishop Auckland and Horden in east Durham are next up in believe housing’s open day programme.

Doors will be opened to properties in both areas to highlight the variety of affordable homes available immediately.

In Horden a property in Davies Walk will be available for viewing on Wednesday, 3 July between 11am and 5pm. One-bedroom flats to three-bedroom family houses are available, with rents starting from £70.06 per week.

And in Woodhouse Close, a family house in Teesdale Walk is the venue for an open day on Wednesday, 10 July between 11am and 5pm where attendees can find details of available two and three-bedroom houses in the area. Rents for homes in the area start at just £66.34 per week.

Both locations are close to local shops, facilities and primary schools, with excellent transport links.

believe housing has immediately available homes right across County Durham. In many cases it’s possible to pick up the keys to a new home in just one day.

Head of Housing Operations at believe housing, Simon Bartlett, said: “It’s understandable that lots of people don’t know where to turn when it comes to finding a low-cost home. These open days are intended to help more people find out how easy it can be to find an affordable and secure housing association property.

“There have been a string of successes so far with our open days and we’ve even been able to help families into a new home on the same day. We’re hoping that we’ll be able to repeat that success during these open days in Horden and Woodhouse Close.”
