Three free community events aimed at bringing people together for summer fun are being supported by believe housing.
The County Durham-based housing association has awarded community grants of £500 towards fun days in the Esh Winning, Bearpark and Meadowfield areas.
Esh Winning Residents’ Association will hold a community fun day at Woodland Hall and Village Green, on Sunday, July 6, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. People of all ages are welcome to join in the fun.
Bearpark Cricket Club will be buzzing with excitement when it hosts a fun day packed with entertainment on Sunday, July 27, from 10am to 4pm. This event, organised by Durham Constabulary, is open to everyone from Bearpark and the surrounding areas.
And the Friends of Addison Park secured funding to support their flagship annual event, Party in the Park, which will take place on Saturday, August 9, from 12.30pm to 3pm. This event is free and open to everyone from Meadowfield and the surrounding areas, promising an afternoon of fun and community spirit.
“We’re proud to support these events, which give people the opportunity to enjoy a special day out in their own community.
“Taking part can enhance residents’ overall health and wellbeing, strengthen community spirit, and, because they’re free, cost won’t be a barrier,” said Kimberley Batey, Community Investment Co-ordinator at believe housing.
