Have your say on proposed Council Tax changes
Durham County Council is proposing a new income-banded Council Tax Reduction (CTR) scheme for working-age residents, starting April 2026. The aim is to simplify the current system and make it fairer and easier to understand. Options include varying levels of minimum contributions, changes to savings limits, and the removal of certain deductions. Your feedback is important. Please complete the survey by 26 September 2025 to help shape the future of Council Tax support.
