A house-proud believe housing customer is over the moon after her home was given a three-in-one makeover.
Deborah Phillips was told that her home in Crook, County Durham, needed a complete rewire after it failed an electrical periodic inspection, carried out by believe housing every five years to ensure properties remain safe.
And much to her surprise, she was told that she’d also get a new kitchen and bathroom fitted at the same time.
“When we were planning the rewire we could see that both the kitchen and bathroom were approaching the end of their lifecycle, with just a couple of years left on each.
“Doing all three jobs at the same time minimised disruption and mess for the customer,” explained David Taylor, Assistant Director of Major Works at believe housing.
“Minimising contractor visits not only resulted in a better customer experience, it also made business sense to work efficiently and make sure the property is fit for the future.”
Deborah and her partner, Michael Watson, agree.
She said: “We’re over the moon, we got to choose things like the colour of the kitchen cupboards and handles.
“I absolutely love both the bathroom and kitchen.
“It was a messy job so we’re pleased to get it all done in one go.
“We’re happy with the end result, the workers were lovely guys and they made it as easy as possible.”
