Although this role is advertised as full-time, we will consider part-time, job share and alternative working pattern proposals where possible.

Where and when you work is flexible depending on the demands of your role, our customers’ needs and your individual work preference (as agreed with your manager).

Our offices are based in Seaham and Bishop Auckland and although we work flexibly, it is envisaged that this role will require both an offsite and onsite presence as per business need when required.

About the role

As Learning Specialist (Compliance and Safety), you’ll design and deliver practical, engaging learning that helps colleagues work safely, meet statutory and regulatory requirements, and understand their role in keeping customers safe. Working closely with Property Repairs, Assets & Development, Health & Safety and wider operational teams, you’ll translate safety-critical and compliance information into clear learning that colleagues can apply confidently in their day-to-day roles. You’ll also support a healthy homes culture by helping colleagues identify risk, consider customer vulnerability and use professional judgement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading learning projects across the full learning cycle, from needs analysis and design through to delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement
• creating or sourcing practical learning materials, workshops, briefings, guides and digital resources that support safe working practices and compliance requirements
• Working with managers, subject matter experts and external providers to identify learning needs and develop effective solutions
• maintaining, reviewing and overseeing the Mandatory Training Matrix, making sure learning requirements remain aligned to legislation, regulation, policy and operational risk
• monitoring completion of mandatory, statutory and compliance learning, using data to identify risks, report progress and support assurance activity
• building strong relationships with operational teams and acting as a first point of contact for learning needs within assigned service areas.
