From Monday, 12 June customers will start to receive voice notes regarding gas servicing appointments.
The automated service aims to provide a more seamless process of getting messages to customers about future appointments, and allow them to confirm or reschedule by simply pressing a button.
Alan Scott, Assistant Director of Programme and Cyclical Delivery at believe housing, said: “We know how busy running a household can be and want to provide customers a level of flexibility when booking their annual gas service with us.
“Customers will now receive an automated voicemail to confirm their scheduled appointment time and date, and if it’s not suitable, allow them to change it by pressing the numbers on their keypad.”
It is hoped that by providing a service at customers’ fingertips, it will reduce the number of ‘no access’ cases, which cost the organisation around £1m per year due to lost time.
Alan continued: “We’re aware that some people may be cautious about answering calls from unknown numbers – and for good reason. Rest assured that we will always call you from a local number (0191) and will never ask for any personal details, so you can remain confident it is a genuine call from believe housing.”
