Although this role is advertised as full-time, we will consider part-time, job share and alternative working pattern proposals where possible.
Where and when you work is flexible depending on the demands of your role, our customers’ needs and your individual work preference (as agreed with your manager).
Our offices are based in Seaham and Bishop Auckland and although we work flexibly, it is envisaged that this role will require both an offsite and onsite presence as per business need when required.
About the role
The Financial Management Business Partner will lead the Financial Management team to support the relevant directorates in ensuring the delivery of an effective, flexible and customer focused service that supports the directorates to deliver their financial strategy.
The successful candidate will:
- Support the Financial Management and Reporting Manger with the effective management of the financial systems.
- Lead, manage and continuously develop a high performing team in the delivery of an effective financial management business partnering service across the relevant directorates.
- Support the development of the short and medium term financial strategies for the directorates through working with colleagues to understand their requirements and identifying interventions required and solutions where necessary.
- Manage the delivery of the annual budget setting process for the directorates, partnering with budget managers and directors to forecast budget requirements, including providing advice and where necessary challenge to ensure effective use of resources.
- Lead the preparation of timely monthly and quarterly management accounts and analysis across the directorates for all budget managers, directors, Executive Management Team, Board and funders.
