salary: £30,959 - £32,306 pro-rata location: Bishop Auckland, Hybrid, SeahamWe’re on the lookout for a part time Rent Systems Coordinator to join the believe housing team for two days per week on a fixed term basis until September 2026.

Where and when you work is flexible depending on the demands of your role, our customers’ needs and your individual work preference (as agreed with your manager).
Our offices are based in Seaham and Bishop Auckland and although we work flexibly, it is envisaged that this role will require both an offsite and onsite presence as per business need when required.
about the role
The Rent Systems Coordinator will work within the rental income team providing day to day advice, guidance and coaching to all stakeholders. Acting as a support to the Rent Systems Specialist to deliver an outstanding rent and debit service, maximising assisting with income collection, delivering a modern, accessible, efficient, and effective rent service to their client group and is the first point of contact for all rent debit enquiries.
The successful candidate will:
- Reconcile the rent income and debit against the general ledger, in a format accepted by audit
- Maintain the housing management system with up to date and accurate information
- Control the transfer of relevant information to and from rent accounts and amend tenancy information
- Investigate, answer queries and deal with correspondence from internal and external customers in writing or by telephone and email
- Liaise with external agencies, i.e. Department for Work and Pensions, Housing Benefits, and Citizens Advise Bureaus etc to resolve queries and issues arising
- Provide detailed advice and information on all aspects of the housing rent system for tenants and other departments, promoting a caring image in line with the organisation vison and values
