We’re looking for an Internal Communications and Employer Branding Specialist to join the believe housing team on a fixed-term basis, maternity cover for 15 months.

 

This role is hybrid, which means you can work in the best place to get the job done; whether that’s at one of our County Durham offices, at home or out and about.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about informing and engaging employees across believe housing, building relationships between employees and the organisation, and helping maintain and build on our ‘one team culture’. You will be a keen copywriter, multitasker and really care about employee communications and employer branding.

about the role

The Internal Communications and Employer Branding Specialist will be responsible for several areas including, but not limited to:

  • Leading on internal communications campaigns to cover initiatives linked to our corporate plan, vision, values, and behaviours. Working alongside many directorates and colleagues to help communicate their projects and initiatives and keeping an up-to-date internal communications plan.
  • Helping to keep information flowing between the Executive Management Team (EMT), Senior Leadership Team (SLT), managers, and all employees across job roles and location, ensuring two-way communication.
  • Leading on promoting our employer brand through channels such as LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Indeed. Posting new updates, engaging with current and prospective employees to tell the story of believe housing as a great employer.
  • Taking responsibility for internal communications, in both online and offline formats, including copywriting, editing, and proofreading. Primarily using Workplace, SharePoint, and email.
  • Promoting believe housing as a great employer, writing copy for job adverts, descriptions, social postings, and promotions, and working alongside the HR Team.
  • Seeking new and relevant employee reviews for Indeed and Glassdoor to coincide with live job vacancies.
  • Building believe housing’s reputation with employees, prospective employees, and within the wider north-east employer and housing network. Leveraging videos, photo opportunities, events and PR to tell our story internally and externally.
  • A passion and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Collaborating with the wider Marketing and Communications Team, and the Transformation and Culture Directorate, on campaigns. Being a team player and ambassador for internal communications and employer brand across the organisation.
  • Monitoring and reporting on employee engagement and delivery of business messages across our internal communications channels.
  • Helping to plan and promote employee events and look for opportunities to share and engage current, and prospective employees.
